  • Carb questions?

I'm sure this has been answered a million times, but I can't always get the search feature to load on my IPad. I started to tear the carbs down for a good cleaning and when I removed the choke rod, the springs and ball bearings scattered from the number 1 carb! I recovered 2 bearings and 1 spring, is there a 3rd bearing somewhere? The shaft has 3 holes. Also, the PO had been in these things and replaced floats and what not and broke a float post off. That I can fix thanks to this site. But I would like to run pod filters. First, what size pods fit, and what jets work well with them. Thanks in advance!

2 balls and 2 springs. The 3 dents in the rod are for the 3 positions of the enrichment circuit.

The balls and springs go in the #1 and the #4 carbs only. You can though get by with just 1 ball and spring. If needed I think crazysteve is still selling replacement ball and spring sets.

I have a few extra 80 - 81 carb parts Doug. Which carb body do you need?
