Going to be painting Matilda next week. I like the original paint but something new isnt bad either. After a little time in photoshop this is what I have and would like some opinions. Either the original Turquoise and White, or the Metallic Charcoal and Maroon with pinstriping?

    Hey Nate,

I don't recall there ever being an Original Torquoise...oh I guess you mean the color it came with when you got it...not necessarily OEM!?

I like the metallic and maroon striping myself! But as folks often say around here, it's your bike, do what you think looks good, you're the one that's going to be riding it, and be seen on it.!

Hahah yeah, the paint that was on when I got it. The reason I chose the maroon stripe was kind of a not to the original bikes mixed in with something more modern. Its a toss up for me. I like the old because it reminds me of an old 50s chevy car, but a more modern look would be nice. THe old paint is pretty beat up so either way its getting stripped and painted. I would be happy either way.

Heres another option without the knee dents and side cover centers.

Now that I have my layers made I can change it to any color in a couple minutes.

Thanks This is the last bit of work Ill be doing to it this summer. Come winter, every nut and bolt is coming off and everything under the tank and side covers is being powder coated.

I'm not much of an aqua blue guy, so I like the charcoal and burgundy color scheme, I prefer the first one with the knee indents and side cover centers Burgundy.

I would vote for the last one, now if you only went a few shades lighter on the colors it would be a big hit in Columbus

I like the second pic Nate. It pops.

The pastel blue is a little too gay.

I hope you don't hate me for saying this, but I think the Maroon and gray just looks too boring. The 1st pic kinda reminds me of the two-tone 750's. Just something about that gray and maroon though. Here's my thing: you have cruiser footpegs with the forward controls, so, the color scheme you have is too sporty. I think you should go a solid color and have fun with it. Maybe put the emblems back onto the side covers?

Also, doesn't it hurt your back to have those low bars, but with your feet on the cruiser pegs? It seems to go against ergonomics of the back.

Not at all. Infact it really helps my back. I have two blown out disks and leaning forward a little takes all the shock out of my spine when riding. I actually go riding now to feel better if Im having a bad back day.

Forgot to add, the emblems will be going back on. I just didnt want to stress them out and break off the posts when I sprayed that new side cover.
