I don't see where you are tring to post a picture...as Ken said, what is the URL and we can go from there.

Here's the trick. You need to store the files somewhere on-line, not just on your own computer. My ISP allows me 20mb of 'free' space on their servers for my own personal stuff, so I sometimes load files there like this one. The URL for this one is http://www.rctvonline.net/~xs11/electrical/dsc01095.jpg and the photo comes out like this:

I also store files on another free service called Webshots The link to my space there is here

Once you have your photos uploaded, you can click the IMG button, paste in the URL and wallah - your pictures appear!

                    Re: bike pic

You've got the idea, now just need to sort out the syntax for linking directly to a single picture....

Here's one from my webshots album. Click on 'quote' and you'll see how the address has been incorporated.

You could also trying a right mouse click over the image to see its properties...

                          Hey there Ken, and Chevy,

I had the same thing happen to me the other day when I was trying to show someone how to use their ImageStation URL. So apparently these online photo storage places are getting "hip" to what we are doing, and perhaps disabling the capability to direct link to the photos on their servers!? So I do like what you do, use my ISP's web space instead.

Chevy, does your ISP provide you with any web space, a place where you could put files for a personal web site?? If so, you'll probably need to activate it first, then upload the photos to the "Space", possibly designate a specific folder, like :
webspace\xs11\..... and then once you upload to it, then right click on it, copy the SHORTCUT(URL code) to it, ie.
                          "http://isp.webspace.yourusername\xs11\filename.jpg" =this is example, not a real URL .

What I do next it paste it into a simple notepad.TXT file and save it as XS11 photos, possibly writing a description of the photo beside the URL/link if the photoname isn't descriptive enough.

Then, come to xs11.com, post a reply, then use the IMG button, copy the specific URL for your picture and paste it into the IMG window, and THEN your picture should show!!!! Good Luck.
                          T.C.
