I have seen problems with using the registry cleaning functionality with Windows 7 + Visual Studio 2012 with one of my coworkers, though I have never had any problems with it. I have used the regular cleaning functions for many years.

Hey there folks,
Okay, the past few days I, too, could not access the site with my laptop that I normally accessed the site prior to the Server change! Last year when we had the access problems, and "we" thought it was DNS errors, someone suggested we EDIT our HOSTS file to set a DIRECT IP Address route for the browser, so it wouldn't have to rely on the DNS table and such to try to find the site!
Well, I performed that EDIT, but then forgot that I had done that only on my laptop! I wrote to the site's HOSTing company explaining my access problems, previous history of being caught/blocked by their security firewall but all of my other computers also used the same IP since I'm behind a Router, and all of the other 'puters COULD access the site, and so they said it sounded like a HOSTS file problem....that's when my brain went BING and I remembered what I had done!
SO...I accessed the HOSTS file at the following location:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS
Then I editted the lines I had put in for www.xs11.com and xs11.com with # in front to make them just REMARKS.....like this:
# 64.119.182.118 www.xs11.com
# 64.119.182.118 xs11.com
But I just wanted the HOSTS file to act normal to see if it would work. You may need to change your View File properties to show hidden/system files/folders to be able to get to the System32 folder/subfolders and the HOSTS file....remember to change Notepad to open ALL file types, not just .txt files!
Then save the file. Then RESTART the computer. Once restarted, open a command prompt, perform : ipconfig /flushdns dos command, then EXIT the command prompt. Then open the browser, clear the history/temp files and such, and then go to www.xs11.com and you should now be able to get to the site!

Hey there,
JP doesn't want his mailing address out there for privacy and security reasons. But if you don't have/use Paypal, then I guess I can send you MY mailing address, and then I'll submit the donation thru my paypal. SO... of course you'll need to fill out the check to "Me"! I'll send you a copy of the paypal payment receipt. Check your PM's.

For those still having network issues there are several Network providers that have their own DNS servers and have issues with them. If you are familiar with networking you can do testing to insure you are connected to the internet and even to a ping and you will find that the site that it can not find is up and working fine. The real issue is often times your ISP is using the DNS server of their uper level network provider to populate their server and thet server goes to another and so on. Any failure in any connection point and you time out finding the site you search for. These problems change from moment to moment when they have to do updates or are under attack.
There are two basic ways to resolve it...... first way is to read TC's posts for manually editing your host file but that only fixes the lookup for the sites you put into the host file. The other way is to find a super dependable DNS server to do your lookups.
I manually set my DNS server under TCP-IP Properties to Prefeered of 8.8.8.8 and alternate of 8.8.4.4. These are Googles main DNS servers IP adresses so by going straight to a major source you do not get bounced all around the world doing lookups. Resolved all my problems and I do not need to keep up with changes to my hosts file.
Call your ISP if you want and ask but they will probably tell you nothing is wrong its your PC etc etc but its your choice. Good luck guys.
Oh using my way you can only fail if you can not find Google or Google has a problem or the hosting site for what you are looking for is down. Now one day I am sure Google will properly firewall their DNS like Cisco did keeping me out and I'll have to do something else.To fix the problem one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed.
