He can tell you everything you need to know about the electrics. Search for HID headlight on this site. Good info in there. You need more than a bulb.

If you are new to Yamahas you may not know this. One of their little design quirks is making the right side mirror mount with a LEFT hand thread.
And didja know the XS/XJ 1100 engine runs backwards? That discovery was a major WTF? moment for me.
If you ain't got 'em, stainless brake lines are well worth installing.
As is a TKAT fork brace; compared to a 600lb bike those forks are kinda frail and need all the help they can get.
The blade fuse swap is good but if the tube fuses are still working OK that particular swap isn't urgent.Fred Hill, S'toon
