Many years ago, when I bought my first motorcycle, I mistakenly thought my car insurance covered me on the bike till I got it insured. As my crappy luck would have it, the temp tag blew off the bike and I got pulled over for it. Well, long story short, I got hit with FRA suspension. So I had to get what Ohio refers to as an SR-22 filing. This is essentially the same thing, it covered me driving what ever I drove. So I had a newish car I kept insured with my existing agent, and rode my MC, and drove my F250 on the SR-22 insurance.

How'd you do that! That company is in Colo Springs, and they even have an office in Denver.
Yeah, I have a few. It didn't used to be so bad, but the thieving bureaucrats raised the license fees up to the point that I may have to put some in reserve storage. Rotate stock every year or so.
Oh, woe is me.
Don, I've heard rumors about the SR-22, although it was more in regards to drunk driving suspensions.
And since that is more expensive than a slew of motorcycles, I think I'll pass.
But thanks for sharing.
