  • Anyone know what this belongs to?

I bought this on ebay because the part number 2H7-83973-00-98 was right but I didn't look closely enough at the pictures in the ad so I have to find out what this is and try to sell it on. I think it may be for an XS750 but I'm not sure. I'm hoping one of our experts might have a better idea.

    Thanks in advance,

    Dan.

and in a related story, anyone know where I can get a decent, working left switch block for my poor 'E?

I can't say about the plug side, but it looks like a perfect copy of the one I've got on my 1980 XS1100G...

          Nope

I was too quick in looking, the LH has a hazard toggle on the bottom. That looks like the one I have on my 79SF.

It looks like that part number got superceded to: 3H3-83973-00-98 which crosses to the 78/79's. (which didn't have the hazard lights)

It also doesn't have a 'pass' switch. On the plug side, my 'E has two, both six prong, one male and one female, the unit above has a six and a four, both female.

This is a pass switch, it bumps up the headlight from low to high beam with the lights on and gives a blast of high beam when the light is off.

Wow Dan, I've never seen one of those on an XS11 before.

Is it on the European models as well? I have not seen it on any of the XS11s I have seen to date.

that very much reminds me of the switchgear that was on my '78 XS400...it looks exactly like what was on there.

BTW Hi Dan! Been awhile eh???

Yeah Max, been problem free for ages. Awful attitude, I know. I wish I knew for sure what that switch block was for so I could advertise it.
