I just saw this on the Australia site, so I copied it to post here.

This just in from the UK......

Hi Folks; Just though that you guys "Down Under" should know... Brian Bennett passed away, suddenly, at home yesterday. Full details not yet known, but it appears that he suffered a massive heart attack -

I went to the UK site as soon as I read your post and nothing is being said over there. As a matter of fact Brian shows to be online.

        Try this link Doug.......

Hopefully it is wrong but it is from one of the administrators posts on the Aussie site and apparently came from Miti who is a member of the UK site. I see nothing posted on the UK site either.

If you look down at the bottom of the home page at who is online and Brians name is there in red.

I hate to jump in there and ask.

Unfortunately I can confirm that it is true.

Brians name has been seen online because one of the other club committee members has been online as administrator using Brians account.

Its an extremely sad time for us in the UK XS1100 world

For those that might not recognize the full name, his username was LAMRIC.

I have editted his profile adding "Deceased" to his user status.

So sorry to hear about his passing, TomB, please keep us informed. If it wouldn't be too much of a bother, it would be good if you could post a thread in the Memorium Forum.

                        Thread closed.

                        Dear members,

Brian's family had requested that his death not be discussed on the UK site, that's why we haven't seen anything posted there. Therefore, out of respect for their wishes of privacy, this thread is being closed.

TomB will be making a post in the Memorium forum at the appropriate time, and it will be open for posts and comments at that time.

                        Thankyou.
