  • Which XS/XJ Model do you have?

We'll see if it's possible to do this...

Ok, can't allow multiples of the same model (site limits), but will allow you to list each individual model you have. Might get an actual idea of how many we collectively have....

          Currently in my garage:
2 - 78E - One runs very well, one needs second gear fix, both have fairings and bags but the one I ride the most has the bags off.
3 - 79SF - 2 are gone through and very roadworthy, 1 needs head work.
1 - 80G - Pretty much toast, just parts bike
1 - 80SG - Roller with motor but most cosmetic stuff gone, parts bike.
1 - 81SH - Complete bike but have never run it, needs carb work, parked 9 yrs. Supposed to have a big bore kit in it, I do not yet know.
1 - 81LH - In assembly stage, rebuilt everything but the motor, repainted etc. A bit of a frankenbike as it has a 79SF motor in it. The black chrome is now black/cherry and the gold is painted as opposed to plated.

I also have another 78E but it is all in parts and the only part of the frame I have left is what I use for my engine stand. Recently sold a 82XJ and the fellow put 6,000 miles on it since he bought it. Swears he is a yamaha guy now and his honda sucks.

SG, SF, E all run. I didn't count the 5 parts bikes.

81 SH I bought new, but has not been on the road for twenty years. I plan to get it back on the road by Sept.

81 SH no title. This bike is all there, but the trans is bad.

80 Std. no title and a lot of missing parts

I had a running 80 SG, but I sold it to my son law last summer.

1- '80G bought in '92 been garaged since '01 presently in restomodification into Pacifico equipped full dressed tourin' machine

1- '79SF runs good, stock, good shape bought last fall from a MSF classmate who had an XS750 that I did some work on but once he saw my '80G he had to have one. He relocated to La. bought a Valkyrie and offered the SF to me and then I had to have it. Gonna go over it and do the upgrades and some tweakin'

Currently own an SH and an SG, formerly owned an additional SH, I still have some "keepsakes" from her laying about. Hope to find a titled frame with an engine I can add some of these parts to make another bike some time.

Down to three XS bikes, The 78, going to be a BAD bike, 79, needs repair, and then for a friend, and the 80LG, my "pretty bike" in need of electrical work. The BMW R1200RT is for commute and long distance rides, as of now.

                              Sickness

Just shows what a sickness these bikes are. Only 13 responses so far and look at the number of bikes. When i first joined I saw a photo a member had posted inside his garage and he had four XS's lined up. At the time I asked what the heck, you have a bike for everyday of the week? He just replied, you'll understand soon enough.
