Who on here has recently gotten anything from Reproduction Decalshttp://www.reproductiondecals.com/de...tent.html~main

I ordered somethings and its been 45 days and they have not sent the order. My concern is that since they have switched to DiabloCycle some things have changed. I did write them to check on the order but they said they had put in an order for the part and not recieved it yet but did not give an answer as to when they expected it and that was specifically part of what I asked. The reply was 4 days after I wrote the email also. I have called them several times but never get a person left a message but no call back

Is it common for them to take this much time?

    I have

used them for both my XS's. It does take a long time. The actual production takes place in Australia so with administration and, fabrication, and intercontinental deliver it does take time. The badges you get are metal and just slightly smaller than the plastic originals. I had to drill holes adjascent to the original holes to mount the tank badges. They come pretty flat as well so you have to bend/mold them to fit. No biggy but just saying.

Seems to me,it's not very good buisness sense to not return a call to a customer,or at least explain why an order takes so much time to deliver.

Yes Cuda bad business that is why I asked my fellow XS11 people, you always get an answer here. From the response I got I was worried they were like going under and international you only have a limited time to deal with issues. Bad part for them is my cousin just decided to go into cycle restorations rather than autobody work and has about 800.00 in orders he's holding off on for a bit.

              Nope

Call the numbers for both if you like. They're distributers, the manufacture is done in queensland. I"ve been in the same boat and talked to/thru the distributers to the people in australia.

Got Ya, thanxs for sortin' that out.

I only questioned your reply to glean accurate info for a future decal purchase for my Pacifico fairing, hard bags and my '77 XS 650D resto.

I've worked, with Brian at Badge Replicas, on my XJ 750 Midnight Maxim sidecover badges but I didn't know that he didn't manufacture them himself.

                  I was

questioning the small size difference and talked with the distributer and they gave me a direct line to australia. It was a bitch to call with the time difference and accent. Anyway, when I talked with the tech he appologized but said there was nothing they could/would do. The molds are exact copies, but as the metal cools it does shrink a very small amount. As for the bending of the pieces to fit the tanks, he just said the metal is maliable enough to twist and bend and that if done with small corrections at a time, the badges wouldn't break or damage the paint or finish. he was right and I only move one mounting hole over a bit and you can't notice the difference.
This also goes a long way to explain the cost of the darn things. I almost fainted when I first looked, but hell, I'm really anal about my restores and each time I figure this to be my last. However the E I'm on now is my third. This really is becoming a sickness.

I only have the side covers on order from Reproduction or Diablo. I got the Gold and Black tank emblems J38-24161-00-00 EMBLEM 1 from Partzillia for 16.92 each they look and mounted just like the original emblems except just one part number for both. I have the G Model standard tank and there was no issue with fit, they fit the holes with no modification. I looked measured etc and could not find a difference between original and these except the old was yellowish plastic seen from back and new were black plastic. Now just waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, etc......................on the side covers.

I'll write devilcycle in a little while again when I get to 60 days.

                      Sickness

I refer to it as my hobby as it has saved my life from the real sickness I indulged in for 30 years

Browsing Diablo's site, I'm not seeing alot of the decals that were offered on the old site.

This one, that matches my '80G tank and sidecovers, doesn't seem available:

Also while searching, I've decided to not use the fairing and hard bag decals as seen in the next pic, as they won't match my tank or sidecovers:

I'll have to find the Gold/Black Striping elsewhere, which is okay 'cause my two tone paint scheme on the fairing, bags and trunk will require different borders than stock.
