Interesting memories brought back!...........AS seen and from memory, the CBX '6banger' just doesn't quite have the 'grunt' of the XS out of corners. Still, brave souls hangin' it out on the corners aboard those 'ole school heavy iron!
81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

those old bikes sure had to be hard to handle in the corners at that speed.

Nice, Read the comments...I was tempted to make an account so I could defend my baby. I had a 160mph rocket of death. I like my "massive bleeding whale with wheels" better!!!!! part two is a winner.

          CBX's

I laughed when I watched it. I remember when I got my special back in 79 that a bunch of the guys had bought the CBX's abd had them in a line outside the barracks. I used to park mine by itself next to the doors by a fire hydrant. I'd walk out the building and throw a leg over, turn the key and ride. Every weekend, they were like a pit crew going from on CBX to the other trying to get them running. Invariably there was always a few that sat for weeks on end before they could solve the problem.
When i started watching the race and one jumped into the lead, I said to myself, this won't last long and sure enough by what was it, lap five, two had already dropped out, including the leader.
Cool to see the shaft drive hold it's own though in competition cornering.Actually looked really stable for a top heavy brute. Cudo's to the riders for working the iron around like that for six hours at those speeds.
