  • Identifying year model

    Hello,
I am new to the site here and a new XS1100 owner and I'm trying to identify the year/model of my bike.
The engine and frame number are 2h9-100683 the bike is indigo blue and it is fitted with a sidecar that is the same colour.
I have looked through the forum and I think that mine is probably a 1981 model but I have been unable to locate a blue colour in that year model.
Could someone please advise me the year/model/country of my bike and sidecar.
    Thanks
    Kev

      Hi Kev and welcome,
when I moved my new wife into the house I'd been in for 20 years she looked at the white walls and said, "this room would look good painted green" and I said "Start scraping, green is 3 layers down"
Same with your XS11 sidecar rig.
Yes, it's blue now but what colour was it then?
Nate's chart sez it was originally Macho Maroon (a kinda burgundy)
      So what sidecar you got?
      Post photos, eh?
