        You could see he was afraid.He was too worried about falling off the side and not watching where he wanted to go and what was around him. I don't think he even saw that post. That had to hurt. I hope he is ok.

          I think he might have hurt less if he hit the water himself. Long as he did not get knocked unconscious on the way down. Water hurts alot less than wood and steel!!

          Now as for the bike, well, he won't be riding it for a while no matter what. I got a feeling he will need alot of front end parts!

                I'm betting there just aren't a lot of motorcycle vs sailboat insurance claims...

                  I hope his insurance coverage is high enough to pay damage to the boat. This poor guy can not even make up a story its all on film.
                  To fix the problem one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed.
