  • Neon XS Signs

How many of you would be interested in a neon XS Eleven or XS Eleven Special neon light for your garage or man cave?
Custom hand made blown glass tube (keeps tubing round in curves and corners) by a man who holds several patents in the neon sign market.
He is working on a price for me now but the more people that commit to buy, the cheaper he will make them.
Need to know color preferences too, he can do gold but he said the best gold neon tube comes from a supplier in Milan, Italy so that gets pricey. Said he has a gold in stock that is very close and isn't yellow looking.
This is the real deal when it comes to neon, not the cheap crap, but far cheaper than you would normally pay.

Post on the thread if interested, don't fill my mailbox.

I think gold and white would look nice.

I might be interested till it gets to the price of a bike.

I would like to hear the price estimate first.

      Sounds neat though.

He can do the lettering any color or combination of colors.
I'm getting mine in all gold, double lined XS with single line Eleven.

Pricing is going to be far far below what you could buy a beer sign for. I'll get an estimate from him maybe today.
My contact does all of the work .... the artwork for the template, glass blowing, adding the gas, and electrical. He suggested a black pebble finish background cut the same as the side cover badges, sounds great to me.
His skill level is such that he has customers all over the world. He has been wanting to get into motorcycle signs, he does mostly replica signs for classic/high end cars and one of a kind custom signs. He is excited about working on the XS lights. He remembers the XS1100 from his earlier years and likes classic bikes but doesn't ride.

I'm interested enough to hear the price. Then we'll see.
Hill? What hill? I didn't see any hill! Why wasn't there a sign? And where are my keys?

No artwork yet. He must be out on his bike today.
                Don't get excited, it's a Schwinn.
                At least it's a '50's classic.

It was an awkward moment talking to him yesterday. He told me he rode in to work too.
"Sweet, what do you ride?" got a reply of "My old classic (getting hopes up), it's a 195? Schwinn!" dead air space, then he laughs but says he was serious.
Dude has an odd artist type sense of humor.

Pricing was above what I was expecting but here it is for those who are interested.
You might want to sit down for this.
This is about 1/3 off what he normally would charge.

XS Eleven logo, same as side cover badges:
                      22" wide x 15" tall - $550
XS Eleven Special logo, same as '79 side cover badges:
                      29" wide x 15" tall - $675

                      "Yellow gold", +$60
"Italian gold" quoted at order since the price varies with it.
                      1 Year Warranty.

I don't get a dime from any orders.

Might be cheaper elsewhere but this guy has worldwide recognition for his art. He is also a concert pianist and organist.

He said he can do just the "XS", "Eleven", or "Eleven-Special" or whatever you want.

                      In his words.....

I have the absolute finest ultra-high vacuum pumps, all digital gauges, most pure gases, finest electrodes, power supplies - finest quality throughout. I even helium rinse each neon tube after processing, before I fill with the final gas. The most pure, finest quality – brightest, most colorful - made from start to finish by me personally, on the very finest scientific neon processing equipment. All neon is not made to the same quality - this is the very finest!
Your friends may not wish an XS Eleven-Special custom neon sign, but if they do, happy to be of help with any questions they may have. Or, I can make them anything else they may wish in spectacular custom neon. Their name in neon, business logo, chandeliers, sculptures, artworks. Spectacular Christmas gifts. Have them let me know you sent them to receive the best pricing.

His normal customer base is car collectors, mainly Studebaker, Packard, Avanti, and Rockne collectors since he has license to replicate any of their neon signs.
                          Completely different economic demographic.

That is in the bike cost range -

I don't know - I waste a bunch on crap I don't need - maybe once I see pics of yours I might bite but for now I will just be envious.
