  • F U Hurricane Sandy

Things have been pretty tough here on the NE shore, but we are a tough crowd. The Hurricane and resulting chaos did not stop me from picking up my new (to me) Goldwing!

    It's a '98 GL1500SE 11K miles, not even broken in yet!

Tom at Honda of Riverhead prepped her for me (mostly waxed) while I retrieved my gas can from the car. Ya, had to bring my own gas .

About an hour later, she was in the driveway! What a sweet ride. Now it's on to the internet to order some goodies for my new baby

Found out later that the tool kit is missing. ....anyone got one for sale? My research tells me that it's supposed to look like this....

Former owner, but I have NO PARTS LEFT!

      Sandy, etc.

Very nice ride dude, that's what has been on my wish list for awhile [a 'Wing with a reverse]!
As far as Sandy, six days with no electricty, 36 inches of wet, HEAVY snow, and my 24' by 24' woodshed/storage building collapsed under the weight.
In the building was my '98 Honda Foreman, riding mower, '93 KLX 650-C AND my generator,,,, which was running at the time.
All fared well, with the exception of my 20 hp riding mower! The ATV I've fixed. Oh well.
Well, back off to the farms,, more fences to fix!
BTW, for the first two days here, the only thing that was moving was my 4x4 diesel tractor WITH tire chains, front loader bucket and extra rear weights [about 1100 lbs of rear weights!]
      Ride Safe,
      Greg C.
