  • Clubman bars

I have been searching and couldn't find anything definited. I want to put cafe bars on my XS11 and I am close to getting her ready to ride, so I figured I'd start looking at clubman bars. There are two I am looking at on eBay and with a large price difference between the two...

Here are the first ones I am looking at, http://www.ebay.com/itm/XS-XS1100-XS...30821676461%26

These are the others I am looking at, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Cafe-R...&forceRpt=true

Will the ones in th second link work on my bike, without hitting the tank or anything? The deminsions look close, and I saw a thread where another member used them on a standard...

    Thanks,

If you scroll down in the link you provided, ironically, the bike he used with the handlebars is an XS11.

Yeah, I saw the XS11 in the first link, but I was asking about the second link, the bars for 26 bucks. I didn't see any pictures on that one, unless I am completely overlooking it. (which I'd never rule out..)

        Hi Rob,
the first bars are insanely overpriced and the flattened areas at the welded corners are a seriously stupid idea.
The second set are properly joined at least and the price is OK too.
BUT, the black powdercoat will insulate the bars from the switches.
Be sure the bar mounted switches that are meant to be grounded through the bars have a suitable alternative grounding connection.

The first link is from kingpin91602 on eBay aka Motosurgeon on Youtube.

Beautiful bike, but unfortunately the owner is a buyer-seller who does buys generic Emgo and Bikemaster parts and relists them without the part numbers claiming they're "custom" for XS bikes. He's got Emgo taper tip mufflers (80-25300) up there for $90 EACH. Those things are $31 at OBB.

If the dimensions match up then definitely buy the generic bars because they're the same, if not better.

second bars are way better than the first. I have never seen clubmans flattened and then but welded to the side of the hadles like those are. All clubmans I have seen are caut and welded at an angle like the second set.

I appreciate all of the feedback! I guess I'll pull the trigger on the second ones, the 30 dollar bars. Just gotta get my brakes working and carbs put back on first...
