In any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.
Just like in Dean's post, at the bottom of HIS post, you hit the quote button. It's the same thing as hitting the reply button, but it adds the quote of whoever's box you hit the quote button in. What bugs me is the people that hit the quote button in someone's posting who's posted lots of pics or something, then doesn't edit the pics out, so all the pics get posted again.
After you hit the quote button, you can edit out parts of what the person said and just include what part you're actually replying to.
And Nate beat me to it.. lol.
Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.
You can live to be 100, as long as you give up everything that would make you want to live to be 100!

OR...you can do it the old school way.
Highlight (select) the part of the text you want to reply to and Copy it. (Control + C on Windows, Apple + C on Mac.)
Hit the Reply button.
Reply window opens. Click on the 4th box from the right at the top of the screen. It looks like a little paragraph of text. (Or you can simply type the characters by hand, as this is HTML code and the system will recognize it as such.)
[ QUOTE ]
shows up on your page wherever your cursor was. Put your cursor between the ][ (brackets) after the first QUOTE and before the second QUOTE.
Past the text you copied earlier at this point. (Control + V for Windows, Apple + V for Mac.)
Hint: For more personalization, after the first QUOTE add = and name of previous poster. Sample: [ QUOTE=Jerry] text pasted in
(No space after the =)
This puts the text you are responding to in your reply as a quote.

To make the code show up as text I have added a space after the first brackets, the [ right brackets. In real use there is no space there. If you type the code by hand do not include the space.
I generally use this method because I usually respond to just a part of a previous post and this saves me time in editing. You can also include quotes from multiple posts, which is occasionally useful. Just scroll down below the reply window to copy text from previous posts. If you do this, please identify who made which posts by using the =name inside the first QUOTE.
