      Hi Mo,
you are not alone. Way back I bought a total bargain sheetmetal shed kit from a friend who'd moved into a house with a garage before he'd gotten around to assembling the kit.
Got it all assembled onto a treated wood base to find it was too short to close the doors on the bike unless I took the luggage rack off and put the bike in kittycornered.
Is yours a sheetmetal prefab shed?
Those are FNI to jumboize, sell it off and buy a bigger one.
Wooden shed? Mr Skilsaw can be your friend.

I know the feeling Mo. I build furniture in my basement wood shop. Made a full height entertainment center for my mothers house. Yeah, it was VERY interesting getting out of the basement.

Why are you parking it so early. You can ride that through most of the winter give or take a few weeks here or there. I see a couple of guys in the Orangeville Tim Horton doughnut shop every winter with their bikes with a side car.
I think it would be a nice thrill spinning out in the snow with the sidecar on the bike. Put some chains on the tires and ride the snowmobile trails too

              Hi slow mo,
if the rig is only inches wider than the door opening it may be easier to modify the bike instead of jumboizing the shed.
Put a 90º locking elbow joint in the handlebar's left side just by the 'bar clamp so the 'bar will go vertical to fit the rig through the doorway.
              And Tinman,
Mo's motivation is likely the same as mine. I keep my rig in the garage year round so the seat don't get wet and the rig don't get vandalized.
While southern Ontario's winter is not so severe as in the prairies, it still gets effin' cold out.
My winter riding is limited to just a few degrees below freezing because that's when the bike won't start.
And those bike tires skid like a bastard on icy streets so while a rig won't fall over on ice it will sail straight on with speed undiminished with the bars hard over and the brakes full on.

                    Hi slow mo,
modding the bars was a daft idea anyhow. No matter how remote the possibility, having the bars fold up at speed is kinda scary to contemplate.
I suppose the shed doorway is narrower than the shed's wall to wall inside measurement by at least the thickness of the doorposts?
Moving the doorposts to the outside and putting gate hinges on the doors will give you another 7" of doorway width.
Must be someone around to swing the hammer for you?

                      Hi Fred,
Two good suggestions what to do with a sidecar in the winter
                      Hi Mo,
I could come and swing a hammer for you. The outside hinge idea sounds great if it gets you enough clearance. Otherwise a chain saw and extension might be in the sheds future

                        Hi Mo

Cut the door/wall out large enough to provide easy drive in and then convert the hole onto a lift/drop ramp. You ever get that Octy replumbed.

A friend of mine (not me ) redid his entire basement...new drywall, moodlighting, built-in tv center, carpet, shelves, paint, ect. Only to find that the turn halfway down the steps was too sharp to get a couch down there.......now a hole in the wall and a bulkhead will finish the new tv room.
