    Good morning, ecstatic new XS1100 Special owner (79) just picked up my "parade bike" from an acquaintance who "just wanted it out of their garage"..

    overall, pretty happy....

    1979 XS1100
    Was going to be a ratbike, instead it is
    Turning into a "Labour of Love" Restoration...

          27,000 Km's on it, I put the new pods on it for now, the stock Air filter (if it was stock) was pretty nasty, I took the airbox off, but I would like to put it back once I determine what kind of air filter goes inside it...

          needs a few things, the headlight is direct wired and the instrument lights are not functioning, I like to ride at night so this is problematic.

          has a bit of a dead spot around 3000rpms and the fuel mileage could be better, but I really like owning a classic bike....
