  • Spring XS11 run in the UK

As the sunny warm weather will soon be with us (ha,ha,ha),I'm organising another get together at the Waterman pub, Hatton, near Warwick.

If the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum is up and running after that terrible fire, then we'll ride the short trip there for a butcher's.

We're going to meet on Sunday 16th May at 11.00, so that's plenty of notice for those that need it.

For those of you that live a fair ride away, there's plenty of room to crash at my place.

For the polishers of you out there....GET THEM OUT AND RIDE THEM!!

    Cheers,

    Andy Pugh
If you can't afford it....finance it!!

Nah, doesn't look like he rides an XS to me. He was a roman emperor so probably some Italian bike.

Hmmm, seems the helmet law is older than I thought.

            UK riders

I hope you can find a way to post photos of your event for us in the US to enjoy! Makes me wonder what it would be like to ride in the UK. I have driven in a car there, but never riden a bike. I takes a lot of head work when making turns.....and then there's the round a bouts. Maybe it would be easier if you don't have the "sitting and shifting on the wrong side" factor to deal with.
Maybe I should ship my Triumph over and tour! (Seems more fitting than the XS11.

i think you would like it,there are nice long bendy roads going through the mountains in wales is the best, roads were you can realy go for it,it is good on the xs1100 but even better on the r1.there is bound to be some web sites with pictures of wales on it,but then i just like the welsh roads.

                XS run.... well ...maybe

Andy - as I said in our last emails...thinking of selling the XS this year

House move, baby on the way (lame excuses I know)..... but haven't bitten the bullet yet.

If it's still with me in May I will try and get up to Warwick and see you guys.... maybe the poke I need to appreciate the XS again.

2-fast - Yep touring around on a bike in the UK is a great experience. Wales and Scotland are major highlights, but even down in the south there are some pretty nice roads and interesting places to stop at...... good country pubs with rooms get my vote as a potential - although I always get a headache in the morning somehow!

Lamric - Kenly eh? haven't noticed another XS around the place..... I'm in Caterham, maybe we should meet up for a ride one of these days
                XS1.1 sport - Sold June 2005 :-(

                  well ...maybe

                  Wots a "well ...maybe" ?

Hey UK1.1 - Sounds like the dreaded winter lay off depression has struck another victim. If it was 20 degrees and sunny out there we'd all be doing the "just popping out for a paper, back in a hour dear" routine.

(Mind you I rode thru Caterham this afternoon, 2 degrees and snowing and didn't enjoy that much.)

Only a few weeks to go in the UK and then it's guaranteed sunshine. So don't listen to Andy, Do get polishing, then let me know when your bike's available for viewing !
