  • Another new Guy-XS addict

Hi guys. My name is Keith. I am in Parker Colorado. I have owned a 1980 1100G since 1984. It has the Vetter touring set up. I bought it with 2200 mi. on it. It now has 67000 mi. on it. This website has helped me keep the old guy running well. I have changed the glass fuse box to the blade fuse box, synthetic oil in the middle and final drive, run the Seafoam through the fuel system, cleaned and greased the rear wheel needle bearing and replaced the right side bearing. Right now I am running the Havoline 2-stroke oil with the TC-W3 rating and the bike gets about another 3 mi. per gal. I also installed the NGK irridium plugs and the Raptor acct. Thanks for all the help. You guys are the best.

    Great!
Where in Parker do you live? A few years ago that would have been a silly question, but what with sub-urban sprawl,
There are a number of us around, if you are interested in talking or meeting.
    Denver, Thornton, Palmer Lake,
You might want to reassure folks that these will indeed go high milage without serious problems, since it sounds like yours is on the way.
Mine is still at a measly 41000, but hopefully, I'll follow in your tire tracks.

Hey Keith and CZ, I am also in Colorado (north of you all in Fort Collins). My lady isn't running yet, but I'd love to meet some fellow XSers sometime.

        Well, git-er-done!
A trip over Trail Ridge is a good road test for carb tuning and general rideability.
Keep us posted on your progress. CZ
