      Going riding!

      Hey there Gary,

Well, I took my nephews out for a ride this weekend. We had temps in the low 60's, still cool at speed, but nice and sunny! With the 13 y/o on the back, maybe 120lbs, we were stopped at a light before a nice stretch of highway, I shouted over my shoulder for him to hang on, I was going to show him how well it accelerated! Revved it up and took off and felt the front wheel slowly rising a bit, made a gentle touchdown at 8k, speed shifted into 2nd and pulled it up again for a short while, topped at 8k and into third at around 60mph and hit 80 a few seconds later before backing down! Oh, what a bad example I am. !

The bike started acting like it was hitting on only 3 cylinders unless I really cracked the throttle, and even then at times. We rode around for a little while, then I finally got to a place where the sun wasn't shining so brightly, and I could see my Low Gas Red Indicator Light was on...... put $5.00 in it, and it smoothed right out after that, musta been a combination of several months old gas, and just bottoming out the tank.....DUH!!!!! Phew, at least I don't have to clean my carbs now!!! Now where did I put that can of SeaFoam???? Hope you get to ride some before West Va., don't want you to be too rusty......you can't afford anymore bike body panels!!!!

            Sound's good

I am a carb set "rebuild/detail" and a gas tank "cleaning" away from the first ride.Got the brakes done last week, and the wireing is finished.Well,I have to change the final and secondary gear lube, do an oil change, install the new clutch cable, but it's supposed to be 50 degrees or so this weekend.I might just roll her down the hill on my street, if I dont get the work done.BUT I AM GONNA GET IT OUT OF THE SHOP, SOON!!!
