Thanks for the well wishes--I'm rd overnight nicely. I barely even limp anymore!

The 48 should be really cool. Gonna go sort of cafe-ish with it, and keep it sporty. They retail for about 10-11k, but model year holdovers are going for less. Should be picking it up midweek, I hope!
Healthy is merely the slowest rate at which you can die

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I’ve always believed this, in spite of the trouble it’s caused me. I was just checking pices on the Harly Ableson 48 and the List is $10K

You can pick them up around $8K

I bet if I went shopping somewhere that has a really depresses economey like Oklahoma that I could do even better on price.

First: I'm really glad you came out ok. We love them, but bikes are just bikes... we can get more.

I don't know if your insurance works like mine, but if I write-off a vehicle, I can buy it back from the insurance company for 10% of what they write if off for. If you think you can rebuild it, or if you want it for parts, you may be able to get the bike and a check for 90% of what they were going to write it off for. I've also successfully negotiated more money out of my insurance company than what they had planned to pay me. I presented them with a bunch of ads for similar cars (I haven't written off a bike yet... knocking on wood) asking for more money than what they were offering, and they just upped the write-off value.

Hope you like your new ride as much as the old one!
