    OUCH!

I'm really glad he made it out in such good shape. That could and probably should have been much worse. Always nice to see somebody make it! Hope he has a swift recovery.

He blew up a deer and broke his right leg but kept the bike up? Jeezes, I fall over when I see gravel.

A couple years ago I was riding Highway One on the coast and the small SUV in front of us sort of exploded, then two deer went running off to the left. I was amazed that the deer could take that kind of a hit and keep going, until we rode up to help and saw that a third deer had been mangled. The whole left front of the car was caved in and broken up. The right side of the road was a steep hill covered in brush. The driver never saw a thing.

        Best wishes to your friend.

I'd say he's one lucky guy, after seeing the picture's. I've hit deer with my truck on several occations and have never had that much blood on my truck. That deer must have been at a full run. I'm amazed that he was able to keep the bike up. I wish him well in his recovery. My wife helps with orthopedic surgery, and it's going to be awhile before he's on the bike again. I can't believe they didn't put a cast on it.
