maaaaaaate!!!
I have the most awful lifestyle for an XSive! I get to ride 150Km to work through the hills and winding highways (min speed limit posted 80Kph) at 4am when there's no traffic (and no cops). Then about midday I get to ride home again..... Then (after chacking out this FINE web site, and a bite to eat) if the weather's nice (it's summer here baby yeah!) I put a few more hundred Km's on her with my father and uncle before dinner.
btw... for those who remember my previous probs (the cam chain adjuster that cost me over $3000 and 4 months!) She's back on the road with the 1179 wiseco kit shaved and shaped valves/seats and new EVERYTHING (enginewise). I'm still running in, but talk about torque! (pun is accidental....but I'l take it). 40Kph in first, shift to second and at about 80Kph the front wheel comes up off the ground, Shift to third (already breaking the speed limit on the freeway) and the forks extend to full length, then it's shifting up and down until the engine is run in loading it up on the hills and engine braking down them. After the run in, she's going to be one dream ride!
My mechanic rides beefed up and heavily modified bikes (one of the perks of owning your own shop.... lots of bits!) and cannot believe the performance and comfort the XS has even when stock.
oops.... gotta go..... I just saw a cloud I'd like to chase down the highway.... seeya!
