I paid $25 for a pair of Venture ones with all the other cam chain stuff minus the cam chains. The thing is, I'm scared to death of both the valve adjustment and putting the auto CCT in for fear of skipping a tooth and damaging a valve.

I know, I know, I changed my engine and I've got a complete spare, but I'm not feeling up to a lot of that stuff these days since my accident. My confidence is pretty much down the toilet but there's nobody close by to have come by and offer a six pack and some BBQ (which I'm pretty good at) who's done this and can kind of help and guide me through this, and I'm afraid to tackle this one on my own.

Cy, my only words of wisdom are that I have removed and replaced the CCT on both of my XS11s (wrecked one and current) and removed and reinstalled more than once. So if I can do it, who can't!

Reality is if you keep the bike on the center stand, and set the timing mark to C and not T, you will not have any problems.

And yeas, not sure who it is, but I would bet money on that being a forum member. But give them credit for nto listing it for that money here on the forum anyway.

I have nothing against the person asking that price, if someone is willing to pay that for it, so be it. I just meant that the folks here know what one normally goes for and would find it overpriced and I am certain it would not have gone unnoticed.

That's how capitalism works and has worked for the last 240 years. Profit ain't a dirty word.

You don't want to pay that price, don't buy it but don't knock a guy for making a buck.
