    Looks Good.

    Hi,

Just cruising around the forum and saw your bike. Looks good! Your wife has a good idea about the safety course. I took one here in GA. Worked out well for me. Made it really easy to get the motorcycle license added to my regular license, did not have to take the riding test, and got an insurance discount to boot.

    Good luck with yours.

      Thanks Mike,
I've had my motorcycle endorsement for many years.. Just havent been on a bike for maybe 15 or so.. Lose track.. I just have to wait for my class to start. Here in Oregon the 3 day basic safety course gets you a free pass on both the writen and driving tests. My wife insists that I do this before I take off on the bike, but, to be honest, I'm glad I'm doing it.

You will be happy with the class. And, if you do NOT obey SWMBO, then you get to sleep ON the bike!
The class really IS a good thing. I would like to take the advanced class, but now that I don't make much, it's out of my budget.

I retired at 59 and find there are many things out of my budget.. I have discovered, however, that life is finite and I need to squeeze as much stuff into it as I can, while I can.. Budgets be darned.. I give up one Irish Whiskey every other day and can pay for a new fairing and the advanced class when the time comes.. As for sleeping on the bike.. Almost was sleeping in the garage when the XS11 showed up in the driveway..
