  • The "John Rally"...

Hosting a rally all by myself

Making room in the garage to start two teardowns. I still have not decided what the final result will be, but I need them all running.

Its amazing how easy they are to push when mostly stripped.

You need to get all that other crap out of the garage so there's room for the important stuff.

      Important stuff

Those tools and parts ARE important too! Theres not much else in the garage.

Now have Rising Sun and Enterprise in the garage.

I'm kicking around the idea of putting Rising Sun's 78 engine in the 80. One, its already running and it pulls so darn hard when it was rideable in California unlike my other 80 Great Ranger, which runs great but just doesn't compare.

        Frame cleaning with UK Gold

So I mixed up a half ounce/quart of some of James England's magic UK Gold cleaner in a spray bottle and sat down for a little quick cleaning on the frame of Enterprise. I figured its a reportedly good degreaser and I wanted to start my project with a nicely painted frame.

With nothing but a rag and spray bottle...no wax or polish...I got it starting to look like this:

I can't say anything other than my initial results are promising...it seems to cut the grime pretty good.

And I may not need to paint after all!

            Sharing

If we were closer I'd share and mix you up a bottle. As little as I put in this stuff should last awhile. And it is gold colored.

Be sure and tell John he is invited to my Rally too!!

Be sure and tell John he is invited to my Rally too!!

Because when the beer is flowing at a rally, you can NEVER have too many johns..

I might wait until a rally comes along that's at a bit cooler time of year. This last weekend's rally we had was pretty miserable at times... and you're even hotter where you're at. I'd just need a fan to make my own evaporative cooler...
Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

You can live to be 100, as long as you give up everything that would make you want to live to be 100!

There. You got a fan. Now cool off.

I agree about cooler weather. Maybe in September? Early October?
