"What they do have is an implacable, unrelenting presence and movement that bespeaks massive power lurking behind paint and chrome. They don't wail like a screeching ninja, the don't rumble like a harley. They just growl like a spactic, stressed out badger waiting to rip your face off and eat your soul." Trainzz~RIP~

Mack, I see you have the same crash bar I have. People have been very intrested in that bar and I can't find them. Where did you get it? I want to get some made but at 5 at a time it's $285 each and that's just the req bar, no paint or plating of any kind.

It was installed by the dealer when I bought the bike in 79. It wasn't stock. After my accident he brought this SF to the hospital to show me and ask if I wanted the money or a replacement bike. I was just out of traction so I couldn't bend my right leg. I told him so, he took it back to the shop and installed this crash bar so I could sit on the bike with my leg resting on the bar.(hoping that by sitting on it , I would be more inclined to keep the bike) he was right. They helped me out of the wheel chair and set me on it, I started it and drove home using only the front brake and still wearing one of those stupid blue hospital gowns that don't do up the back. My wife tells me I was quite a site. Doctors were really pissed off.
If you do make some of these up, I'll take one for my LH. Don't don't do anything with it plating wise
, just send it bare. I'll have it taken care of at my end by the guy that did the paint on the LH.
