    Is there such a thing as an '80 xs850? I thought they quit building the 850 before that....
    You can't stay young forever, but you can be immature for the rest of your life...

    Not sure Richard, but they were available new still when i bought my Venturer in 81'. Almost decided on one of those dressed......until i rode the 1100Venturer.....rest is history..

      Supposedly these were built up through '81; maybe they weren't sold here that long...

        I remember them. 1980 & 1981. A colleague of my father's was killed on one back in the day. This photo shows a XS850SG.

          My first bike was a 81 850 special. I just got a 1980 xs850 sg the other day!
