I've had an 80 XS in the garage that I got for free for about 8 years now been going to get it running for about that long. Start looking for the missing pieces a couple of years ago on ebay and stumbled on a pair of 81 xs650's one running and one for parts. A good move really since I haven't rode in about 20 years so I was basically starting all over. I recently saw the 1100 on ebay and bought it (if I outbid one of you guys sorry) I haven't picked it up yet but it's running and has been painted. So now for the question Don't think I'll ever really have time it make the other one run and I amwondering what I should do with it thought about parting it out on ebay but I was thinking Maybe I should keep some of the parts especially those that tend to fail. As I have very limited experience working on bikes what I should keep. Same thing kinda goes for the xs 650 parts bike. I'm in southeastern CT and work in Kittery Me during the week so if anybody is in need of something let me know not really looking to make any money on the stuff I would really like to find somebody kinda local that could point me in the right direction if I'm ever in need of technical asistance These boards are great but sometimes talking makes it easier to really understand and helping sombody work on a bike is a great way to learn. I'm pretty goodwrenching on cars but bikes are something I've never really done. So any advice would be apreciated

Parts bike
Dont know what you have into the old one but parts are getting harder to find, and expensive i would keep everything except the cosmetics. Like side covers ,gastank, seat, fenders, turnsignals, lights, etc there is a good market for that stuff. We have classifieds here you can list parts for sale.........MITCHDoug Mitchell
