I have one of those. I put it on the handlebars up towards the brake master. I used it on my ride to the salt flats. I'm not sure how much I trust it. Wiggles like crazy (to the point where you have to stop it moving before you can see anything on the screen) and pops off the mount too easy for my liking. I even put pliers to the tightening ring. Still can pop it off. Not sure if I want my phone/gps bouncin down the road.

its pretty snug down on the neck... up against the big bolt it really can't go anywhere.... *knock on wood*

          GPS mount

I made one for mine out of some left over plastic that covers it and also makes a shadow over the GPS making it easier to see in the sunshine. I use the suction cup mount and put it on the lower part of the windshield in the center. I also attach a short peice of cord to it in case it comes off so it don't go bouncing down the road. My security system is so sensitive that one night in the motel the suction cup came off under the cover and dropped on the fairing setting off the alarm. I woke up and looked out, but there was no one there. I discovered what happened in the morning when I took the cover off.

            Hi Don,
the photos suggest that you already have far too many widgets to distract you from watching where you are going without adding a GPS to their number.
Using a GPS in a car you can still be visually alert while listening to that annoying voice - - - make a U-turn at the next available intersection - - - recalculating - - -
But on a bike it's best to pull off the road, park, take the GPS out of your tank bag and look at it.

                  Easy

I just tape the power plug to the unit so it won't come off and make sure the cord is tied to the fairing in addition to being plugged in the cigar lighter. If the suction cup comes loose it just hangs there 'till I put it back.

and a tank bag? Don't I have enough storage on my bike. Why would I clutter my tank with a piece of luggage. Each to their own I guess..... You will not catch me with a tank bag, EVER. Not a fan...

What's that square thing on top of the cyclesounds housing??

I used the suction cup thingy on my old GPS, but I stuck it to the tank. It would work sometimes, but I had to make sure the power cord was wrapped around the bars, just in case it let go (which happened a few times). Sticking it to the windshield just made it too far away from my face to be able to read the screen on that one.

The square thing us an external speaker for my cb radio... Breaker breaker, come on back!
The cb resides in the right side of the fairing. If you look @ the left handle bar real close you will see the Mic holder. I pull it out of the cubby and turn it on while up on the mountain to listen to logger traffic. Back in the day it was the only form of communication really available. My dad and his buddies use to use them on trips.

I will be interested to see if you end up with too much glare off that case or not. I think when I get ready to mount my GPS, I will have to go with the old hook and pile route, and slap it right onto the fairing. Not pretty perhaps, but I know it wont come off.

I took it out Sunday. There is a lot of glare... And with the contrast turned to full bright it can still be hard to see. I'm hoping the com units I'm buying will sync up to it so I can get the voice commands thru my head set. Probably gonna make a makeshift Sun Shield over it. We'll see how it works out. I figured for$13 it was worth a try. If it don't pan out I'll go with option B.... They make a regular claw mount with handle bar clamp... It won't be waterproof, but can fix that with a sandwich bag.
