  • We all know these I am sure..grated bridges, metal bridges or singing bridges.
My sis in law would dang near freeze up on these things which is not what ya wanna do.Just sit there and be relaxed and look down at the river or what ever is below you.
It wiggles and waggles a little but not much worse than Touring Elites after they start cupping in a few thousand miles.
Common sense dictates to stay out of the middle where the oil strip is,same as on any other road.

This is here in Cincinnati where I learned to ride on a singing bridge in I guess'70.

So just like any situation when on a bike always look ahead and expect the unexpected from anywhere, even your biker buddies.

Ok class this is your old ranger pal Billie saying..Ride safe and see you somewhere down the road.

    • Anybody have some munchies they can let me have.....

One last class room session I swear and you will get....heck I don't know.
I like trains and always have.I sure that some of my posts may have given that secret away.

Railroad crossings, usually not a problem because you hit them straight on and just ride across them,no problem usually. Here in Cincinnati in a suburb of Maderia there is a crossing that used to have two tracks but only one now.It is on a diagonal so you have to hit from the far right part of your lane and aim to the left to more or less go across straight My cousin a long time ago hit it straight on not considering the angle of the tracks plus it was on a curve so the tracks are not level, they are higher on one side than the other due to the cure. Well he got his front wheel caught between the track and crossing.Yuppers you guessed he down he went.
Broken leg and crutches for awhile.Tracks can be dangerous.

On the same note when you are in strange territory and coming up to a crossing and it looks like it is higher than the road look in the other lane in the on coming direction. If you see a lot of oil spots and some scrape marks chances are the local kids use their cars and jump over the crossing so that kinda tells ya to be xtra careful. Not a level crossing.

And then they came over to your house.....for the........scene
Thanks for sharing a bit of excitement from your town.
we are known as Hollywood North around here so we frequently see film crews out and about. And cattle calls at the studios
I have a friend who works in special effects (FX) If you ask him what he does for a living he replies with a straight face.

                      • Howdy.I grew up just a short distance away.I can't think of the owners name of the house but it is across the street from the cemetery.
The John Gotti with Travolta was filmed just up the street from the Bramble Patch one of my old haunts.Fun seeing these places in films.
