  • Perfect Riding Weather

So, perfect riding weather today when I got off work...65 degrees, sunny, crisp! With anticipation I geared up and rushed out to the parking garage. I was finally out of there!

    Free!

    Crud.

Flat tire. No stuff to fix it. (Bags are not on the bike right now).

Had to take the train home.

    Oh . . . Joy . . . .

Had the seat all to myself though....what with the full leather, motorcycle helmet, and my making "Vroom, Vroom!" noises while twisting imaginary throttles on invisible handlebars.

    Sigh.

I got up yesterday to a balmy 36 degree F morning. I rode the 30 miles to work. Nice! The temp was 64 at go home time, so it took me 60 miles to get back home!

Doncha just hate it when your bike forgets it's way home? It only took you 30 miles to find your way home? Were you running low on fuel? I was gonna ride to work yesterday, but after installing my new Jardine 4-2, the hoses to my oil cooler needed to be rerouted, but I didn't have enough hose, so I just removed it, and the adapter under the oil filter cup. BUT, the 'O' ring on the cup started leaking. After purchasing new filter, and oil, I didn't have time to install it before it was time to leave for work. It was about 68- 70 degrees here yesterday. S'posed to be just as nice today.

Well, don't go out there and kick them to see, they would probably shatter!

Had to put a new rear tire on the Valk...

Oops, sorry...had to "renew the tyre" (it's an Avon don't-cha-know).

Had 4 (four!) nails in the other one. Stranded it in the parking garage d/t.

              Blech.

Let's see . . . gotta break it in . . . scrub off the mold or somesuch nonsense...

Balmy and 73 degrees out there....hmmmmm...

              50 miles?

              100?

              200?

              Do I hear 500?

              Sold!

Your way sounds like a lot more fun then cleaning the tire with Goo Gone!
