  • My New Project

Given that I needed new wheels for when the bike wasn't wasn't in the cards, and saving money was pretty high on the list of requirements, but at the same time I have standards as well.

I've been watching craigslist pretty religiously, and found a car. Here are some pictures of the car. It needs some work, it's a salvaged title, and needs a lot of the same things a neglected bike does, but it's mechanically sound, low miles and the price was right.

just like any Chevy, go thru the front cv's, ball joints, tire rods, wheel bearings, etc. as Chevy's are very common for that going bad

      Hey Cy,

Nice find, is that a 2 toned Firebird in the driveway, the vehicle that needs to be replaced?? I'll be your XS11 still gets much better mileage. Just curious, also nice yard sale! Again, sorry to hear of your job woes, hopefully you'll be gamefully employed again soon!

Did the SOFA threaded pipe section arrive okay with the O-ring?

That's an 86 Camaro in the driveway, it's my daughters and my other project, but actually doesn't need much other than paint.

Yes, I've been meaning to let you know that it arrived in good shape on the same day as the wheel bearing from James England.

No front cv joints, as it rear wheel drive, not front wheel drive. As for the others, it has 38,000 miles on it, so I'll be checking the bearings of course, but interestingly it shows evidence of having had that maintain done religiously.
