The CVMG Saskatchewan chapter likes to have a different theme each year.
In the past we have had "the year of the - - - " Britbike, Asian, off-road, Italian, German, etc. etc.
Guess what? We were running out of themes until our secretary said:-
"how about, the year of the hardtail?"
    Stony silence.
"You know, those old bikes that didn't have rear suspension."
We had to explain that a hardtail was a modern rear-suspended bike that some moron had converted after too many times watching Easy Rider.
    So, 2012.
The year of the rigid frame!

Fred, I KNOW that must have made your year! We ALL know what you think of hardtail bikes (and my back/kidneys agree!). Just remember, you WILL outlive the people with the narrow vision!

I think it's something like "Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group" or something like that.

              Hi tr,
the only way my rig will get to Edmonton is if I trailer it there on the way to a rally.
But the Pumpkin will be at the Biggar rally this year as usual. We see several Noral riders there most years, so ride out with them, eh?
The Biggar rally is 3rd, 4th & 5th August this year; The Noral guys will have the details.
