    http://www.ampeg.com/products/portaflex/pf-210he/
I need something smaller to drag around to gigs we don't usually play
huge venues and I can always get someone to drag my tube amp and the 15
    's or the 18's along
I have realized that at this point in life I think I would rather have a
roady than a groupy . plus we already have a couple of "band aids" :-D
    btw small amp 100 W large 500 W
    TIA

Not sure of how much of a purist you are or the people who like listening to your music are, but if you have tube amps, I'd rather listen to them over any modern amp with a vintage look.

thanks, I will use the amps I have tubed from 65 and 68 plus a new one
but the speakers I have are a pair of 15's and a pair of 18' s . I'm looking for speakers that are lighter and smaller, something more suitable for small to med sized venues

          HamJam,

I am not a bass player but my son is. He like the Ampeg bass amps and the Carvin BR515, BR510 bass amps.

          Hope that helps,
          Ozz

            Hey Hammy,

I've heard you can Tune a Piano, but you can't TunaFish?

When I first saw this thread, thought you might have been talking about cabinets to store some bass fish!

I don't Fish or play the bass.

              I can't even tune a piano

interesting how we perceive things, no I am not looking for cabinets to store my 15 large mouth and 18 small mouth bass in but it does make a lot of sense
speaker cabinets are good too Neodymium magnets maybe aluminum or polypropylene cones big 2 or 3 " voice coils ,able to handle 500 Watts @ 4 ohms that would do it
with clear plexi so I can see the fish

Not sure exactly what you are looking for. But for small venues I use a Carvin Probass.100watts into a 15. I also have a GK 100 watt that has a12. I like the sound of the GK better but it does like the low B so much on my 5 string Dean. I play mostly at church so I use a Hartke 200 watt head going into a cabinet with 2 10's and the 15 speaker only in my Carvin. I use this mainly as a stage amp and it is miked to run tthru he the main sound system.
