    bobber

i am making mine into a bobber. I have caught some grief from people about what i am doing, and i understand why, these people love these bikes. and for good reason, these bikes are some of the best ever made. I have also got alot of encouragement as well. this is a great community of people, and i have learned alot from this site, in my opinion it one of the best sites out there. just remember its your bike do what you want with it, and it does take alot of time and knowledge to make these into a bobber, just dont rush it take your time and do it right.

this is mine in the works still have a long ways to go, it is hardtailed.

      Hi John,
when I was young and foolish I spent many hours modifying motorcycle frames to ADD rear suspensions.
The McCandless Brothers marketed kits to convert a pre-war rigid frame to a swingarm frame.
Not that the average apprentice could afford such a kit, bodging up your own out of water pipe was the norm.
Thus we converted what could have been valuable antiques into vehicles worth far less.
But at least we did it to make our bikes MORE comfortable, not LESS.
