I have a similar problem with a universal set of bags that I have. Unfortunetly mine are not the same as yours. I do have Yamaha bags and the mentioned uni bags but they are not the same as yours. I would love to have a pic to follow to mount the bags I have. I will have to do like you have and post a pic and see who can help. Good luck with your install.
