  • Save this bike!!!!!!!

This beautiful running XS650 Special is in danger of being bastardizied into a hardtail chopper.

I have been in contact with the owner trying to save it and he said he will take $950 or another not so cherry running 650 w/title and some cash for it.

It is in Pennsyvania. Someone needs to SAVE THIS BIKE!!!!!!!

Wish I could but hands are full of 11's. That and distance etc make it impossible for me. Those bikes are very popular for chopping and they go by the dozens every day. Too bad there are not more interested in saving these classics.

I hate to see such a nice 650 get chopped up. Someone in the PA area needs to snap this up.

If anyone here is on the XS650 site, post this up there.

Back in 1976 I learned to ride street bikes and this is what I had as a trainer...although the actual bike had been tricked out like a chopper...really raked out front fork and king/queen seat with high sissy bar...damndest thing about the bike was the trigger clutch that was installed...it had no friction point to feather in clutch and throttle...you had to gun the throttle and let the clutch out all at once in order to launch from a standing start...and launch you did BTW it wasnt mine ...but belonged to a good buddy back in college days...
This bike is sweet and looks to be in great original condition...shame its not closer to me.

Yur choice but I think the more that can see it with no hassle will be a better chance. Some of us prefer to forward a specific site than to refer to a post by others on a site they may not visit regularily. JAT

posted this in your other link... figure I put it here too

                    Why would someone do that?

its not like someone would be welcome with open arms into the Harley clubs just cuz their bike looks somewhat like a chopper...

I got buddies that do old jap bikes into bobbers..... all i can do is laugh. silly and a waste of time if you ask me

                          Not too bright

One of the pics on the top of the site shows him grinding on handle bars with non safety glasses and probably the customer holding with probably none either. Web page should be a little more professional.
