Analog control board repairs?

    Looks like the switch is just switching in different resistors, so putting in a potentiometer would probably get it working again. Choose a pot with value of the biggest resistor and connect it from the smallest resistor to the output of the switch.
    Will give you a continuously variable control.

      That is how the 1988 board is wired. No stops. Just a variable feed rate from "Not enough" to "Standing in the front yard waiting for the house to cool down".

      They changed it to "stops" after 90' I think. Slowly got more complicated and more dificult to repair. Now if the board goes bad it is about $300.00 for the fix.
      To me that isn't progress.

      You can still light a cigar with a flint and steel. A lighter. Can't get much more simple and no need to get fancy. They do but it still is the same thing.

      Some things just don't need to be complicated to function.
