Can anyone ID this Auto part?

Is there anyone on the board who can tell me which number on this part is the one I should use to ID the part and then the car model it came from.

I found it on the ground behind my new truck that now has about 1800 dollars damage to the rear end. I believe it is off a drivers side mirror of a car that is now missing from my across the street neighbors laneway

Hey Rob,

I can't help you to actually identify it, but I went ahead and did some internet/google searches. I used the lower 757100 RH first, it revealed a site for TOYOTA parts, but had numbers/letters like W010 or C010 after the 757100 number. Says something like

MOULDING ASSY, FRONT DOOR BELT, RH. MOULDING #757100C010 for TOYOTA Tundra

or

MOULDING ASSY, FRONT DOOR BELT, RH. SIDE MOULDING ... DOOR BELT, RH. SIDE MOULDING #757100W010 for TOYOTA Paseo .

At first I thought it was a fuse plate cover. The upper section appears to be a Calender/Date notation...the 12 months and years, looks like July, 2010?

Hope this helps, good luck tracking the hit and run vehicle down. Did you have any residual paint left on yours that didn't match your color to narrow down the color of the car/truck that hit you??

It looks like a R/S part off an auto, if you know the make of the missing auto, take it to a dealer for that type of auto and I am sure they can look up it by the part # on it. Had that happen to me by the same neighbor twice Made them pay for it the secound time

If it is off a Toyota it is not off the car of the guy next door. Then it would be off the inside of any one of the cars that off load kids in the morning for someone else. I"m pretty sure the lad next door did it because myself, my daughter and her boyfriend were standing in the window on Wednesday evening when he slid up onto my front yard. We did not hear any noise and the angle did not look like he would have hit my truck so I did not go out to look. This evening I go to use my truck and notice the broken tail light, Side swiped tail gate, rear bumper and paint damaged rear 1/4 panel. The guy next door also does a lot of drinking.
I guess I will just have to report it to the police so I can file a claim with my insurance.

That's what I was thinking and the guy next door drives a black Chevy Cavalier. However, if it's an inside part then it would not have come off his car behind my truck even if it was him who hit it. I was thinking it might be a body / bumper bezel. My tail light is right about rear view mirror height and set in from the bumpers rear most surface about the right distance. I will be checking his car out the next time he drops by to visit his wife who kicked him out a few months ago.

With that much damage to yours, I'd be looking for a damaged vehicle nearby, it may not have gotten far, possibly around the block on the street. Just a thought. Look for vehicles that are missing you would normally see in your neighbor's driveway.

Ya, That's what I'm doing. I got the binoculars out and checking cars up and down the street. The bumper is pushed in about 3 inches, tail light is popped out, there's a skid mark across the tail gate and on the leading edge of the 1/4 panel at the tail light. To push that bumper in 3 inches, there has to be visible damage to the side of someones car / truck. I live on a crescent so there is very little if any through traffic. It's likely someone who lives on my street.

It is not his cavalier (sun fire type). His car is spotless even if he did slid up onto my lawn that evening. I also do not think that it could have been a car if it was the rear view mirror that popped out the light while sliding up against the bumper. For most cars, the mirror would be too low for the height of my tail lights.
Next up to check is the lads across the street who drive trucks and back out of their lane way to within a few feet of my truck and work car every morning. All their trucks are however, gone as they are gone for the holidays.

Good news is that the tail light for my new truck is pretty cheap at just over 100 bucks. I was suprised but the parts guy says it's a pretty simple part compared to other models like mini vans where tail lights are between 3 and 400 bucks. So total damage will be Just under 1K.
If the paint damage can be buffed out, and the bumper pulled out for now. I'll be happy enough with the situation.
Bad news of course is that I have to cover the cost out of pocket, perhaps I should reduce my deductible?

I am guessing if it was a neigbor, they are keeping the car or truck somewhere where you can't see it. If you have some paint on yours form it, I would watch for that color car / truck showing back up soon and the police can run a check to see if it was repaired at a body shop. Good luck, hope you find them. If they were drunk and not wanting to go to jail and lose there driving lic. They may fess up to you soon on their own.
