Wow!!! I am foaming at the mouth on every front of all those beautiful cars and bikes!!! It is absolutely astounding that he had that many of those thigns in that one building, and almost madenning that they were all tucked away in corners and piles and most never saw the light of day for all those years. Credit card my backside, who has a home equity line of credit I can tap into!!!!!;D

Oh, and yeah, he was obviously not married or had any kids!!

So I am right now sitting in a hotel room less than 7 miles from Lee Hartung's Museum. I drove past but it is pitch black and there are several guys that look like armed guards out front so I decided against trying to gain entry. I will go by in the afternoon tomorrow and try before I go back home!! I feel like a kid waiting to go to the amusement park!!

              Wheels through time

These bikes run and many are ridden. I rode my XS11 there. As I was parking, removing helmet & gloves, a man on an old bike came riding out. I could not help but smile. Accross the lot, They were making a video. Someone else got to ride it. I got my helmet & gloves , went over and asked if he was going to let me ride too? (found out later he was Dale Walksler, the owner) Yes, he said. What fun! Around the large gravel parking lot I rode...turn carefully...find back brake...skid & slide back wheel to a stop. Kept shiney side up. Then I found out it was serial #7 of only 1000 made in 1941,2, or 3?? a Harley Davidson XA horozontally opposed twin. Really glad I did not crash it.

I saw him start a one of a kind bike, but he did not ride that one out just then.

It is a great big beautiful world out there,

I just looked over the auctions. The items I had in my wish box mostly sold for more than any credit card I own has on it. The 38 Indian sold for over 64k. The XS11 79 Special sold for $201. Hope it does not end up in parts on fleabay.

Two cars sold for well over 140k. Amazing what this guy had in value tucked into that dirt floor shed!!! And to drive past it, you would never suspect anything was in there.
