  • New AMERICAN V4 Sports Tourer

    Hey folks,
Check this out. Just read about a new from the ground up American designed and made V4 sports tourer that looks pretty good.
Would be nice to have more than Harley motorcycles that are made here.
    It's called the Motus MST.
Here's a link to the Webbikeworld article:

Looks like an attempt to come up with a V-4 configuration and bike that resembles the ST. Lacking the hemi-head configuration of the ST tho...........and missin' some tupperware.......gonna half to do better than that IMO to be competitive in this bike world........

I agree. I do like the carbon fiber cover on the left side then go around to the right side and what happened? There is that rather pedestrian looking cover that just screams out to be carbon like the opposite side. Still, in the looks department, there does seem to be alot of potential.

It's alright. I'm not that big of a fan either. Just looking at that picture of the bare engine ... I can only say WTF. At least it's chain driven. I don't like the way it looks now, I'm already thinking of ways to chop it up. I see a naked bike with a thicker under braced swingarm. Ooooooh the things I would do to that bike.

I didn't notice any details about the bike in there. Are they published.

The MOTUS was on display at the Barber Vintage Festival in the exhibition area. I took a good look at it. It was on display with less people around it at Downtown Birmingham's Bike Night the same weekend. I got a better look at it. I got my hands on it. I felt a desire to own it.

It's an impressive machine up close. No cheap components as I recall. These bikes were prototypes. If you came up with the scratch to buy it, I don't think you'd be cutting it up. I wish them great success!

I checked it out at barber. They brought it up to the cafe bike area behind the Ducati area. It looked good and sounded great. Only thing was the motor made a lot of mechanical noise. Not sure what that was all about

Probably the valve train; these are OHV, so you'll hear pushrod/rocker noise...
