    Good evening folks!

I thought I'd take a moment to say hello and wish all a MERRY CHRISTMAS. I signed on here just a few short weeks ago. I met several of you in 2002 at Blue Ridge Motorcycle Camp and again in 2003 at TWO in Georgia. In 2002, I was riding a XS650SK that I've owned since new. This year, I acquired a XS1100SG that I found posted right here. I still love my 650, but I find the 1100 more comfy, to say the least.

Tell me how to post a photo and I will.

    Happy holidays to all!

    Marty:

Here is a link to a basic "How To" on photos:
    http://sopris.net/~fieldsj/html/11com.html

Basically you need a pace to park your photos, then use the URL with the IMG tag found at the top of the message screen.

                Marty,

Good to see you posting Yahoo and some of the other ISP's do not allow you to link directly to photos ( it's a bandwidth issue). You need to upload to a webspace (like at your own isp AOL, Roadrunner whatever) or do what I do and use a free image hosting site such as www.imagestation.com

Here is a picture from the 2002 'Classic Yamaha Weekend' with you at the far right.......

Anyway check out the story I posted of my trip down to GA/NC this year! It is near the end of this thread (also links to pictures if you read all the posts.

                    Marty

I have found that using imagestation.com is easiest for me...just create your own album there and then go into the album and right click the pic and then look at properties...then copy the url location ....then use the IMG button on this site in your reply page...paste the link and viola...at least that is how I do it...there is probably easier ways...http://www.imagestation.com/ the link would look something like this....http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...baf8.jpg...and if put in using the IMG button:

                      Marty,

you are doing the right thing BUT, Yahoo will not let you direct link to photos that way. You can send an album link, but yahoo does not like being a remote host. You would get to use thier bandwitdth for free (ie the user would see no ads). Yahoo is a purely ad driven service now. You will need a different host. Try practicing in 'feature testing' forum.

If all else fails, send me a copy of the photo and I'll put it out on the ISP server I use and I'll send you the link to put in the IMG tag.

                              Hey there Marty,

I don't have moderator access in this Forum so I can't "EDIT" your post to fix it, but I think I figured out the posting problem, the URL/link you provided was including the extra code ImageStation uses for displaying the pictures in your inbox, so I stripped away the extra code and this is what was left, you can right click on the picture and check the properties to see what was included with the IMG link, and what was left off, essentially everything after the *.jpg and before the 2nd http:

Ken, yours also had too much after the first *.jpg filename, but thanks for trying!!
