I'd go for it if I still lived in Paso Robles but I don't have a truck and it won't fit on Columbo's luggage rack or in the saddle bags.

No whining, Greg, I use U-Haul all the time but it's not worth it to me even if I had a truck and didn't have to rent one. I already have four bikes, well, three and a quarter maybe, for a metric shirtload of XS/XJ engines and parts.

One California gopher could build a mound in a couple of hours that's higher than almost anything in Oklahoma where it's so flat that even water gets confused and doesn't know which way to run. With gas well over $4/gal here on the left coast and four or five long, steep, grades to pull between here and Paso Robles I don't want or need to rent and feed a truck to go get a $25 bike.

Het Scott.......I saw a hill the other day. I rode toward it but it seemed to keep getting further and further away so I turned around and went back down.

I was born and raised in Montana in the Rocky Mountains.....................I know EXACTLY how freakin' flat OK and TX is.

I feel ya on having more bike stuff than you need.

Greg, that sounds like a post I read from guy in the Midwest describing "The Curve" to his incredulous buddies at the bar; thing was all lit up with warning lights, reflective directional arrows and speed limit signs lining the road for miles ahead of it but no one had ever actually seen or even heard of a road with a curve in it and they didn't believe him!

There was a code-enforcement type showed up in the neighborhood here a few months back like Officer Obie and we had friendly chat about my collection; unlicensed repair shops, business licenses, taxes and all kinds of mean, nasty, horrible things... no more road trips for more bikes.

"Yes, sir, Officer Obie I, cannot tell a lie: I put that license plate underneath that pile of motorcycles....."

So far there're no twenty-seven 8x10 color glossy photos with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back explaining what each one was in order to be used as evidence against me in a court of law; no judge with a seeing eye dog and... and I'd kind of like to keep it that way.
