Hey guys, I made the news:

    http://www.fresnobee.com/2011/09/28/...s-blocked.html

I always wondered when this would happen. I saw her stop at the sign, then calmly pull out in front of me. I have often considered the best way to handle a collision I could not avoid. I figured that slowing as much as possible and keeping the bike between me and the object would maximize my chances of having a good result. It seems to have worked.

Nothing broken, no black-out, a little road rash, and a huge laceration to my left thight:

By the way, that was done by by my left grip. Those guys with the Gothic spiked bar-ends should rethink those. In fact, look your bike over and see what things you'd hit if you went over the front.

            Oh, man, get well soon!

The bike wedged into that Beemer used to be the new Star 1100 that you brought to the lake this summer?

The very one. I liked that bike, but don't have the emotional attachment to it that I have to the XS. Guess I'll give the XS yet another once-through...

Everybody........WATCH THOSE CAGE DRIVERS ON CROSS STREETS!!!!!!!! They are usually in a hurry or on the cell phone and don't like to be bothered by stop signs.

That scenario sounds almost EXACTLY like how Jeremy ( Montreux_Blue) got wiped out.
