Look at it this way, with Winter setting in, you should have less time mowing grass and such and more time to give the ole girl some needed attention.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

Unfortunately I kept watering mine so it kept growing. However, it's not been growing so fast lately, so I haven't mowed it in over three weeks now and it's just getting to where it needs to be mowed. But the mower's gas has gone bad from sitting, so I've got to drain it and put fresh gas it in so I can mow it this weekend.Cy

School season finds me taking the kid to school on the way to work each day, and the size of her backpack makes the ride uncomfortable for her at best, so, the truck it is Therefore the calander pretty much dictates the end of 'riding season' for me more than the weather.
I did have to go in yesterday though (Saturday), ....yep, took the bike'78 E "Stormbringer"

After a balmy and dry summer it's raining in the PNW. Seems like a short season. 2 hr rain ride yesterday. Night riding in the rain isn't much fun, but daytime, it's just water. Mornings have been cold here the past week. afternoons have been ideal for riding, so I suck it up in the morning (I leave for work at 5:30 am)
Need to keep riding, in another 200 miles I'll have justified the cost of the bike over driving my van1981 XS 11 special

Guys:
Its the best time of the year to ride, here in western Colorado. Mornings in the 50 deg F range, (10 deg C) high temps in the upper 70 deg F range. (26 deg C) Yes, there is new snow on the high peaks, but down here (elevation 5,000 - 5,700 feet) it is gorgeous.
Aspen trees are beginning to turn color, undergrowth has already turned. I expect another month of commuting-to-work weather, with occasional rides after that.Jerry Fields

Low of 58 this morning and it tagged around 92 on the way home. Have suffered thru record number of 100+ days, record drought also. Helmet doubles as a crock pot on the ride home so the new lows below 85 and highs in the low 90's is welcome. Looks like fall and winter is gonna be some primo riding weather, in Texass anyway. When a 10 isn't enough, get a 11. 80g Hardbagger

-3' C (26'F) this morning, and got up to 8' C (46'F), so I went fishing this morning after work, saw one whitefish jump, saw a newt/salamander/frog that hasn't lost it's tail yet? swimming neer my feet, my kid loves little critters like this, so I pulled out my net, and was ready to scoop him up, and a huge bull trout came out of nowere, and snatched him up... so I pulled out a fly that imitates a frog, fished for another hour or sowith no luck, and a bear came out of the bush at the shore opposite my truck... I decided to call it a day when he joined me in the river about 40' away...There are only two types of bikers...
