Hope all our members are ok. I know Binghampton NY got 9-10 inches of rain in 24 hours the other day and about 20,000 people were evacuated from the city. Major flooding in that area of NY and northern PA around the Susquahana (sp?) River. Stay high and stay dry everyone.

You guys have had so much rain back east that water should squish out from under the road if someone rode a small bicycle on it and that was before the last batch of storms.-- Scott

Loyalsock Creek
My cousins old house was downstream from there, but about 60 feet up the hillside. I'm not sure where her new house is. If anything was wrong or someone was hurt I would have heard.1979XS1100SF

Well I'm checking in from Montoursville. My home is fine with just some water in the basement. The water from the Loyalsock creek was out of hand, the worst I've ever seen it. Three bridges in the area are toast. They have been under water many times but this time there were so many houses and other crap in the creek they were ripped out. We had to drive about an hour to get to the family cabin because all the roads are washed out. It's only about 15 miles from my house. I had wanted to hold an xs11.com event there one day......7 out of 9 cabins on the road are just gone. We walked all over just looking for some of our cabin and only found a piece of the porch, stuck in the roof from the house that used to be up streem from us. The guy in that cabin lived there and it was his home......He was going to ride it out until the water started to come in his second story window!!!! He found a way to get up onto the roof and went for the ride of his life.....I guess he knows what happened to our cabin as his roof is setting on the other side (downsteem) of our land. They found him hanging on the roof at daylight and flew him out.
Our cabin has been in the family since 1978. It's had the first story under water at least 5 times since we had it. We had cleaned it up from smaller floods about 5 other times. It always held strong. In 72 the same house that killed it washed into it and it held them both up through the storm.....not this time.
The first pic is whats left of our cabin. It was a three story with wrap around porches on the first and second stories. I'll look and see if I can find a pic of what it dd look like last week. The whole family had just been there for labor day. On wed morning my Mom. Jack (my boy) and me ran up to save the mowers and put stuff up. I had been kicking myself because I forgot to put the big wood chairs inside, I gues it didn't matter. When we were there the water was about ready to come over the creek wall on the lower side of the cabin, and the back yard was already starting to fill in. We were in the Ford econo van that has about no 4 wheeling qualities....a light snow storm will keep it in the driveway. Anyway I took it down the driveway and into the yard in the only land left that was still up.....and up the hill to the high spot in the yard. My son jumped out and drove the mower up to the van and I grabbed the push mowers and gas. Mom ran in and put some other things up. At that point I really felt that at any time we could be trapped there. Oh and I only had enough gas to make it home..the short way....right down 87 by the creek. Lets say the xs11.com member with the sig...trapped in time, surounded by evil and low on gas came to mind. This area used to be green grass and trees, the pic with all the roots used to be the road and the part of the road that did make it looks like a creekbed now.
Don't be too sad for us.....we could turn around and go home...alot of people couldn't.

Ringing?
Just because you hear it ring doesn't mean anything. You will hear a ring even if there is no phone plugged into the line...You can't stay young forever, but you can be immature for the rest of your life...
