Because of Hurricane Irene we lost power at work and they called me to come in 11 pm to 7 for fire watch.I had to drop off my SG and pick up the Jeep as i don't see good at night.I was driving towards my storage unit and had a car tailgating me.I tapped the brakes numerous times and because of debris on the side of the road could not pull over.So this guy makes a right turn and flips me off.I continue driving and now realize he is behind me once again. He follows me to my storage unit and goes through the gate and almost hits another car.I stop and try to quickly remove my helmet and he gets out of his car and starts to walk quickly toward me.We start yelling at each other and am searching for something to use as it looks like he might have a knife in his hand as i saw him grab something out of his car.I hear a bunch of noise and see 2 guys on Harleys riding towards me.The guys get off their bikes and say to this guy what is the problem? He says nothing and i managed to get a plate # before he pulls away.I said thanks to both guys and they tell me that i ride and to take the plate # and go file a police report.I would hate to think what would happen if they didn't show up.

    Glad they showed up!

Call it paranoia but I have just over time got into the habit of not stopping at my destination (depending on where I am going) is I think someone is following me.

I will also be very glad come November 1 when Wisconsin becomes the 49th state to allow concealed carry. Or I just need to get hired as a cop in this state and not worry about it...

I have seen these Harley guys several times and glad they were there. This guy in the car-I carry a big piece of pipe and by no means was ever frightened of this guy and would have used it.The storage unit where the bike is garaged has followed up and now this guy will be charged with trespassing on top of all the other stuff he did.

Have a big 30" steel pipe that i carry in my truck and am a former military policeman who knows hand to hand so was not afraid of this guy.The Cop in charge of this investigation is a biker and said will take care of this guy.The guy also had a warrant out and has numerous points on his license.I had a plate # but apparently something was not correct, so i went looking with the cop for this guy as i saw where he originally was turning into.Found him and am waiting for a court date.

I might be overly cautious too but I do the same thing. I make a point to not cause trouble in traffic (horn blowing or flipping the bird p*sses people off) but I have been followed before and a rule of thumb is don't take them home to your neighborhood or where you work. Keep on trucking and they generally get disinterested...if not take them to the police station. If your so inclined pull over and have it out but consider who you may be dealing with or what weapons they may have. I don't know if anyone's noticed or not but people, IMO, are generally much angrier than they were 15 or 20 years ago and more unpredicatable. Stay safe
